Germany is not very famous for its good turquoise specimens - but we do have them! The classic "turquoise-province" is the saxonian Voigtland. The shown sample comes from a small outcrop due to conduit workings near Altmannsgrün. The turqouise layer on this sample is 3 mm thick, sample width about 9 cm. (Author: Andreas Gerstenberg)
